Your new role
This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors. The position involves regulatory compliance, environmental monitoring, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations (Health, Safety & Environment, AICIS, Modern Slavery, etc.).
- Lead risk assessments and identify potential hazards for production, residential, and commercial installations.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to manage and reduce risks.
- Foster a safety-first culture by promoting safety awareness and engaging employees.
- Maintain HSE documentation and manage site and chemical registers.
- Conduct exposure measurement, storm water, and atmospheric monitoring.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies (WorkSafe, EPA, AICIS, etc.).
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills.
- Conduct Safety Management System audits and inspections.
- Develop and coordinate safety programs to promote a strong safety culture.
What you'll need to succeed
You have held a similar role and have experience in developing strategies to minimise health and safety risks. You will be motivated about driving a safety comes first culture
