Your new role
The Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our workers across Hays SA and NT metro and regional areas. Based in Adelaide and closely supported by the Manager of Health and Safety SA&NT, you will be an integral member of the Health and Safety team, ensuring compliance to company, state and national WH&S recommendations. The key responsibilities of this position include the effective implementation of health and safety procedures, completing risk assessments, conducting client site visits and compliance training activities as they pertain to WH&S. You will gain exposure to health and safety across both the private and public sectors in a range of industries including construction, engineering, manufacturing and logistics.
What you'll need to succeed
Suitable applicants will be qualified with a Certificate IV in Health and Safety and possess a minimum of 12 months experience in the management of health and safety. You will have a demonstrated knowledge of health and safety legislation coupled with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Your professionalism, commitment and strong attention to detail will be evident through your engagement with critical compliance- based activities. A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment will also be highly regarded.
