Your new company
A multinational Manufacturing company in Western Sydney are looking for a EHS Manager on a permanent basis. They are a manufacturer of simulation technologies, modelling technologies and training services to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, healthcare specialists, and defence customers.
Your new role
The role will spearhead developing and maintaining a "safety first" culture across the company by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, strategy, direction and specialist advice in order to achieve goals to be a global employer of choice and work-class leader in safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environment Health and Safety Management System which complies to policies, legislations, contracts, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Develop and implement vision, strategy, objectives and plans.
- Develop, train and coach EHS personnel.
- Provide advice through analysis of the HSE data for risk and hazard identification, improvement opportunities and best practices.
- Provide technical expertise, develop/update policies and procedures, and support all sites on any questions on conformance on HSE.
- Conduct site visits on a regular basis.
- Submission or safety and environment metrics and reports.
- Lead and Participate in investigations and analysis of incidents to identify causes and ensure corrective and preventive measure to reduce the risk of incidents.
What you'll need to succeed - Have a diploma or certification to workplace, health and safety.
- Experienced in the field of Health, Safety and Environment with experience in a leadership or advisory capacity.
- Sound knowledge and experience in the areas of safety including industrial hygiene, ergonomics and hazardous material management.
- Knowledge of health and safety laws, ISO 45001 and regulations.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental regulations
- Will require an Australian Baseline Security Clearance
