SafetyWorks Group is looking for an experienced change agent in the Workplace, Health & Safety (WHS) field, to be based in Sydney or Newcastle.

Position Requirements:

Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in WHS or a similar field, essential.

Skills: You must have a sound working knowledge of WHS legislation.

You must be an excellent writer, someone who understands how to frame a message in a clear, concise, and compelling way with a commitment to our company brand.

Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so you should be self-sufficient and self-motivated. As a consulting role, a commitment to flexibility and assisting the business to grow is required. We are looking for someone with the flexibility to adapt to various tasks and take on new challenges.

 

Position Responsibilities:

As a WHS Systems Consultant, you’ll manage projects from the initial proposal stage when we’re curious about a client’s specific needs,  to developing an authentic solution that will be sustainable and “stick” for that client,  all the way through to completing the project and seeking client feedback, experimenting, learning, and adjusting as you go. Along your journey to meeting our client’s needs, you’ll demonstrate the ability to:

Listen, Interpret & Challenge: Working with large organisations, with multidisciplinary teams, at a range of levels. You will have highly developed consultation & listening skills.

Steer & Adapt: Interpret and analyse clients’ needs and develop ideal solutions to meet and exceed client expectations.

Innovate & Collaborate: Think laterally to identify clients’ needs that may be met by other resources and skills in the business or by our alliance partners.

Educate: Facilitating groups and workshops of various sizes and communicating clearly through written reports and presentations. You will have a sound working knowledge of WHS legislation across Australia and of WHSMS design and implementation.

Social & Tech: You are a social media butterfly (or are willing to work on it) with the capability to be a brand ambassador and contribute to our content marketing strategy as a thought leader. Your “can do” attitude towards technology, will allow you to problem solve and use the latest programs to your advantage.

Roam: This role will have you regularly working across Australia with a focus on the east coast.
