About Them
This large and diverse organisation with a varied risk portfolio are seeking to engage an Senior HSE Assurance - Assurance and Improvement, who has the ability to drive effective outcomes through coaching and influencing others.

The Role
This is a HSE Assurance role where your stakeholder engagement skills and ability to engage with others at all levels of an organisation are paramount. You will be focused in the continuous improvement of the HSE assurance and audit programs. 
This role will be expected to have some planned limited travel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement HSE audits, inspections and other assurance activities that are in line with the HSE Audit Programme.
  • Work with the business through coaching and mentoring to enhance HSE competencies programs that support Group HSE audit and assurance activities.
  • Manage and develop HSE Assurance and Audit programs
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities and proposing solutions to enhance overall HSE performance.
  • Utilise your Lead Auditor skills to deliver on the internal audit schedule, support corrective and preventative actions, and monitor performance. Also ensure self-insurance requirements to deliver continual improvement to HSE performance.
  • Interpret and analyse HSE audit and assurance outcomes and contribute to written reports.
  • Engage with external stakeholders including certification bodies, state regulators, clients and consultants.
About You
To be successful you will need:
  • A relevant certification or tertiary qualification in HSE or significant relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in the design and creation of audit criteria, tools and processes of HSE legislation, codes of practice and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and facilitate training as required and producing appropriate written communication
  • 5-10 years practical experience in a HSE role with a significant focus on assurance requirements.
  • Must have experience of managing and developing Global HSE Assurance and Audit programs.
  • HSE Lead Auditor qualifications with experience in the planning and implementing internal audits in large complex global organisations.
