About the Role
Your role is accountable for the leadership of your team, and the effective execution of the Health and Safety Management System. Key focus areas will include incident management, safety observations, emergency response and mentoring and educating across the business. You will be focused on continuous improvement and developing a proactive safety culture through compliance with the Health and Safety policies and legislation. This role requires someone with excellent leadership skills, ability to plan and implement, and happy to be part of the hands on details. Your role is to develop the team with your technical experience, ideas and leadership, and ensure they are providing expert advice to the business. 

About You
You will have demonstrated an excellent understanding of Health & Safety within mining. You will have the ability to drive safety outcomes.  You are an engaging leader who has managed teams and understands how to get the best out of people. You are innovative, driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and have the ability to improve a team's performance. You will have a high degree of safety awareness and a proactive attitude to safety improvements. Essential are qualifications in Health & Safety.
This is a residential role in Regional QLD, where 3 months relocation support will be provided for the right candidate.
