About the Role…
The National Health & Safety Manager will work to implement and drive the execution of the business H&S Management System across Australia. You will use your experience and partnering skills to work with the Australian Management Team to deliver the HSE strategy and to promote a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture in the business. You will be responsible for ensuring that all country safety compliance and legislation is adhered to and will execute the regional policies and practices are adopted to ensure we deliver on our H&S targets.
Key Responsibilities…  
  • Ensure the adherence to relevant H&S legislation and compliance requirements
  • Drive awareness with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
  • Work with the Country Management to manage audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance across all areas – initiate improvement strategies where required
  • Manage Country data and reporting against safety indicators to drive improvement activities
  • Coach and mentor staff in the implementation of the Health and Safety Management System
  • Help design and implement Critical Risk control protocols with the Regional HSE Team.
  • Conduct initial serious incident investigation and guide immediate incident response protocols with plant leadership team
  About You…
  • Relevant Tertiary; Lead Auditor and ICAM (or similar) Incident Investigation Qualifications
  • Comprehensive experience in a H&S role within a similar or high risk environment
  • Experience in Managing Complete RTW and Injury Management Claims
  • Proven ability to work and reach desired outcomes at a high performance level
  • Proven record leading a small team
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change in the workplace
