About the role
This leading ASX listed business with a strong customer service focus is seeking an experienced Injury Management Advisor to implement early intervention strategies to minimise injuries and assist in facilitating timely, safe and durable return to work rehabilitation programs for employees who may be injured or ill. You will be responsible for managing work and non-related injury and illness claims, primarily psychological. Whilst you will be supporting case managers to a certain extent, the focus is more driving continuous improvement of the systems and procedures for claims support and management and delivering innovative early intervention strategies.  

About Success
Successful candidates will have the following experience:
  • Be effective in managing multiple claims within a high volume, busy and complex environment
  • Allied health background required
  • Knowledge of injury management and return to work processes/strategies (including graduated return to work plans)
  • Have a strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and its application
  • Provide timely follow up to the business in regards to current and outstanding claims
  • Manage wellbeing and/or injury management projects as required
To be successful you will need to demonstrate a flexible approach, coming from an organisation with a variety of needs. You will be passionate about making a difference and understand that good workers compensation and return to work practices can have a significant impact on the business, knowing what good looks like and provide specialist advice to managers within a fast paced environment.
