Head of Workplace Safety Risk job - Nationally based Not-for-Profit

Your new role
As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Workplace Safety & Risk will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the WS&R team and ensuring the delivery of WHS compliance across the organisation. In consultation with the People & Culture Director you will develop and implement the WS&R plan, establishing analytics and mechanisms to support effective reporting, implement WHS systems and Workers Compensation infrastructure, and work with stakeholders across the business to drive implementation and ensure compliance priorities are met. As a true advocate for a culture of health, safety & wellness you will be able to identify critical challenges facing the future workforce and use your expertise to provide effective WHS advice and solutions.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have extensive experience in specialist WHS and Workers Compensation roles with a deep expertise of this field in the Australian context and relevant degree qualifications. You will have a demonstrated ability to lead a team and implement effective WS&R strategies in line with an organisations needs with knowledge of the human services sector being desirable. Your ability to work at strategic, operational, proactive and reactive levels and your understanding of implementation of change in a large organisational context will be key to your success.
